I guess the cheap route is to throw the spare on a roof rack or give up some cargo area and get the Slee interior tire mount http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/interior_bar.htm

The bumper came with the truck, it is modded I guess, but from the pictures I've seen on 'mud it looks like it began its life as an ARB.

If you watch again and analyze the clip, the scraping is going to occur in a Stock 80 with spare no matter what route you go up due to the same incline right?
What model of OME are you using?... OME J or Competition 4"?
