Any visiblity on short blocks? Placed my order going on three months ago, still waiting. As mentioned above (post #1207) SoCal80series ordered a short block two weeks ago and his is scheduled to arrive this week.

Dealers in my area are all in the Southeast Toyota Distributorship (FL GA, NC, SC, AL) which doesn't seem to have access to the same Toyota parts tracking system as Onur does or Toyota dealers outside this area do.

Perhaps you should move to the United States. :rimshot:

Yeah, SET can suck it.

They work on a different informational system since they are a distributorship not associated with TMS, USA.

My best guess is SoCal80series was able to get his short block so quick is because new short blocks were made up since I ordered mine three months ago. Hoping that there are now more in the system and one is heading my way. Thanks for the help.

The last block I received was in March. I ordered from outside of TSE and just accepted the freight charges for what they were. Took 2 weeks then. I have two more on order but haven't had a delivery update since ordering last week. Hopeful. YMMV

I don't need a new short block on my parts shelf. But damn do I want one. Might be hard to get the purchase past the wife though, when it'd set me back just about what I paid for the car! :D

If you want to keep your 80 another 20+yrs buy it, now.

If not and your engine is fine, it’s a waste of money.

🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheers

It has been mentioned in the past that Collectors Edition badges are no longer produced by Toyota. In the past, I had a vendor in Israel that was making them for me but has since closed his doors. I have 2 remaining and believe the only 2 in existence. Costly but available

Damnit, I knew I should've bought them back when they were somewhat common.
