Best part from a Land Rover. Going to try this out and see if it is in the way or a help.

Where did you get it and how does it mount? Looks like it'll be very useful.

I have had it a while. You can find them on eBay. I think they were on the Disco. Right now it’s just industrial double sided tape. I didn’t want to screw it in until I had tried it out for a while. I’ll report back after a few trips.

Just some rear door organization.

Great build so far. Glad you picked up a 470 instead of an 80. I picked up a 470 after I sold my 80 earlier this year.

Thanks! So far it’s really been a great rig. I wish it had lockers. ATRAC is nice but lockers are another level. Everyone has also got me worried about the rear 8” diff vs the 80s axles. I think part of the issue with the 470 is it’s just easier to break parts due to all the power it has compared to an 80. Size and space wise it’s perfect. And it’s way more comfy.

I think the rear end should be fine. The A-trac has surprised me so far and maybe one day if I have some cash burning I will get a locker/gears but for now I can manage. The wife loves driving this much more then the 80 and that instant power is nice and I agree with you on the comfort. I wonder if I can fit the 255s on mine since I have kdss.

KDSS won't affect the fitment of the 255s but you won't be able to fit a 255 spare in the stock location. You would need a tire carrier or mount it inside.

I read some people just deflated it to fit in the stock location.

I was able to do that with mine without KDSS but it was tight. I guess if you took a ratchet strap and deflated it and clamped it down it would fit.

Just a little update... RadRubber gender liners installed. Nice high quality and perfect fitment.

Rear hatch door table on order from OrangeBoxx

Well it’s been a while. Mostly just been using the truck. Went ahead did the TB, WP, radiator and belts just to play it safe being it’s 10 years old now. Also installed the OrangeBoxx rear table. Love it.

So cleaned her up today and went ahead and went full black on the grill. I had just vinyl wrapped the chrome cross lines but I never liked the chrome surround so I used Krylon primer and paint in Satin black.

I also had these cheap LEDs so I wired them to the reverse lights. I am planing to run power to the rear and will add a switch in the future to turn them on independently.
OPOR sliders come in this week. Planning that install in a week or two...

How do you like the additional reverse lights? I blacked my OEM reverse lights and even with LEDs they aren’t bright enough.

Check out the recent posts on the OPOR install

The leds are super bright and light the area very well works well with the factory back up camera too.

Yeah I’m worried about the install on these sliders...🤦‍♂️

Installing the OPOR sliders... #friendsdontletfriendsuseNUTCERTS! These are a royal pain to install got to say...

So here is my solution for the front leg mount. I went out got a grade 8, 1/2” bolt (since I had already drilled out the lower hole for the nutcert) took coat hanger wire and carefully wrapped end of bolt. Then cut down a 1/2” washer to slip through the access hole.

1. Fish the bolt inside the frame. 2. Once inside carefully slip washer onto bolt. (Both won’t fit through access hole at the same time.) 3. Poke bolt through hole. 4. Mount this bolt to slider first, so that you can easily keep it in place.

So that’s my front leg solution. On the other side I might just use the standard provided bolt instead of the 1/2”. This will be easier to fish in and with the center leg I’m not as worried about the strength as I was the driver side.

The passenger side will have to wait. A friend is helping me come up with a center leg solution as well. I’ll post when I do it.

New fog lights finally!
Baja Designs S2 sport wide/fog. Tore out the old lights, sold them on eBay. Then painted the area where the lights had been. Mounted these and wired to the factory switch. Still have space for some spots in the future.

So got my JJ Products arm rests installed. JJ Products Dual Arm Rest
So one tip with the install is you will need a VERY thin walled 14mm socket to get the factory arm rest off. I found a cheap harbor freight one that worked since my craftsman stuff was to beefy.

So these are a 💯 times better than stock. I can still fit a 40oz insulated cup in the holder. The cushion is softer and the extension is perfect so that your hand rests on the shifter. To me they make the seats more comfortable because I am no longer trying to squeeze me arm into the tiny little arm rest.
My only issue and it is one, is the color match is off. The color on the vinyl is slightly brown compared to the factory grey in my 08’ I wonder if this wasn’t the color in earlier GX’s? I reached out to Jim to see what he says.
