I like that you will not have to chop the hood. I like old school trucks that have minor to no body modifications (dents OK as they add character

SM420 and 3-speed case mated. Output flange just clears the reverse gear bulge on the tranny. Will need to figure out shift linkages.

Used the EBI adapter plate. A combo of 2 washers and a roll pin locks the bolt retaining the transfer input gear in place. Roll pin holds the washers in place with the splines on the inside of the gear, folded fender washer holds the bolt (well, with some thread locker too).

Bolted to the bellhousing, needed to move a touch more sheet metal to clear the transfer case saver and lift the tranny / transfer up to level. Was hoping I could mix and match drive shaft pieces to get the length I need, but that won't work. Will need to retube or order new if the price is right. Should be able to start working on rear drivetrain mounts / cross member / skid plate now.

Very nice Curtis. I like the use of sport climbing anchors to lift the tranny! How is it working in the retrofitted shop now that the weather is cooling?

Hasn't been too cold yet, but it warms nice and quick. I want to get more insulated yet (mainly the ceiling), but moving the stove out into the open "room" gives a nice even temperature.

Today is a halfway energetic day that I'm not out failing at deer hunting.... so into the pig palace I go!!!!

Cross-member ready to have the mounts tacked to the frame. I plan to have a driver's side transmission mount attach to a beefed up PTO cover, the passenger's side will mount to the bellhousing as stock. If this little piggy is going to be free to roll around, the drivetrain is going to need to support itself.

I figure when more important stuff is done, I'll add another behind the transfer and make a belly skid plate. Maybe some drive shaft protection. :lol:

PTO cover / mount together and ready to make a companion to it on the cross member. Realized that the DS bellhousing ear is a fairly close fit for the PS after shifting the engine, so putting that I place with a spacer will save a fair bit of effort in fabricating something from scratch. Getting closer to loading Spot and parts on the trailer to visit a couple of his piggy cousins.

Pulled the engine, tranny and transfer out to burn in the cross member mounts, remove the DS bellhousing mount from the frame and load the clutch bits in the bellhousing. Made a makeshift clutch disk centering tool out of a 10mm socket and a suitably sized hunk of heater hose. :hillbilly:
