Door Opens - Lights On and Off

When I hit the button on the fob for Unlock, both overhead lamps illuminate. Then I open a door, and the lamp for the unopened side shuts off (i.e. the middle lamp shuts off when I open a rear door, leaving only the rear lamp on).

Has anyone modified circuitry, so that all lamps stay on, upon the door open switch telling all of them to do so, then shutting off when switch says door closed?

nope. not me.

I don't recall anyone doing so. I vaguely recall someone trying to wire up the map light to come on when the front doors were opened.

There might be a write up somewhere.
