Grinch-meister: How's your rigidhorse holding up? It's on lightning sale, and I may grab one for rear lighting.

I think I’m supposed to say condensation free, so go ahead and ride the horse. It’s been summer and I haven’t used it. It’s there for when winter rolls around in the dark north.

Fits good on the light brackets, minimal shimming required

Ordered that puppy, and it should be here on Monday. I went back and looked at your wiring again, and you only ran 2 12 awg wires up there (pos/neg). How do you switch from spot to Flood? I would have thought there would be a signal wire or maybe 2 positives.

It’s not a two Mode light, the spots are in the middle, the floods on the outside. All on all the time. i am switching using a Bluetooth relay. at the moment it’s just the one light, so I’m using the under hood relay. When I put in the scene and follower lights , I’ll mount another Bluetooth up there, or run signal wires on the passenger side channel. I used the 12 gauge to get enough amp capacity to do whatever later.

All on all the time

aha! makes sense now. I guess I just assumed it was 2 circuits in the bar. I'm not complaining for $80!

Yeah , I think you’re used to fancypants lights.

Ran most of fr54, some of fr52, and a good chunk of fr70 yesterday and today. Full trip report incoming.
paddleboard was a good fun add
trasharoo excellent, but material fading after only a few weeks
rhino rack batwing excellent
haven‘t needed the rototrax
quick release propane fittings and 5lb bottle Working great
griddle still awesome
hammock camping is definitely grooved and all enjoying it
4 wheel tire inflator great, much faster than one wheel at a time with the twin, even including setup and takedown. feels like 5 min faster, and can sit in the car and monitor with Tpms. It’s also better with the paddle board, as I can shut off the valve and get an instant reading as to not overinflate. Finally the ptc tubing is really nice. It’s small, flexible, and being able to disconnect and reconnect makes reconfigured Easy. Want just one hose for a paddleboard? Done!

Love the Project Manager reporting style. it's great.

One coat of tried and true done. Final two anchors on.
Only a couple things left to do.

Creek camping near lake kachess off fr54 (fr5483). Several sites in the first couple miles, we ended up at an awesome site with a 200 ft drive, right on the creek. good trees. Nice spot for tent or hammocks. Very private. Creek about 10 ft wide and shallow to 1 ft deep. no mosquito pressure. Highly recommended.

Griddle makes meals easy. Love how you can cook three or four different things at once. We also have a one burner stove for boiling and pastas and coffee.

Off to look for a lake to paddle board on. earthmate shows a road right close. But there was this, and then this, and finally a dead end at a whole road washout, followed by another, followed by a permanent campsite with furnace, table and chairs. This is up high in the fr54 network. Never got Near the lake. On the way out to fr54 we passed a Stump graveyard.

Clouds rolled in, so we decided to head for the green river drainage and parts west. And that didn’t last long, as green river is closed to traffic. This is a good 30 min from the nearest paved road.

Licked our disappointment upstream 1/2 mile for lunch and played in the water. I knew @tbisaacs had driven thru here, so looked for the road connection and found it off fr52 to the fr70 network.

No mt. Rainier views on this day, but beautiful still. Saw a golf gti back in here, passed another lx470 and several pickups. A few crossovers on the fr70 side as we got closer to pavement.

stopped at Kelly butte fire lookout and walked up. It’s about a mile 1/2 with 1100 ft elevation. Sadly clouded over up top still.

Very overcrowded on the fr70 side so we just jetted on north after a quick stop in auburn to show the kids my high school.
a great weekend with lots and lots of dirt (only about 1/2 mile of 4L though).we will definitely be back on fr5483 for creek camping.
