I don't care about gas. Just that car seats fit, it has AC, and its a cool rig that I can take the top off of. I would love a first gen Celica for mpgs... but that's not going to happen sadly.
Most soft top FJ 40s with A/C that I have seen complain that the A/C is virtually nonexistent in the front seats, and certainly nonexistent in the rear for the kids. JOhn

Not priced right for what it is. If it really had 30 k miles on it then it would be worth 25-27k. Low mileage 80s bring a pretty penny

It'll cost you ~$5k to fix candyass red. So you're already in the ballpark.:meh:

Has anyone looked into this one? White, Lockers, 188K, ARB bumper, new tires, clean title, no rust and he did entertain my offer of $2600. Any personal loan officers out there!?

I talked to the owner and he told me no diff lockers . He tried very hard to not answer any questions on the engine and leaks, and assured me it is a very good car. This cruiser has OBDI system. The fact that it is not sold yet at this price also worries me. Please let me know its condition if you look at it and decide not to buy it.

Thanks Medtro, I was thinking the same thing...why hasn't it sold yet? However, he clearly defined the lockers and where the switch was located. He told me the body had some wear and tear but mechanically, it was perfect - no leaks or issues of any kind. I was going to drive down there today but like you said, it was weird to me that if hasn't sold in almost a month and he is willing to take $2,800? Thought I would check on here first.

Lockers

No sombrero, no airbags. Likely a 93-94. I do see a locker switch, the owner may be an idiot, it's happened before. Prolly worth a look.

yea, he corrected himself on the phone when I called him out on the year and he said that his title does say 1994. If no one takes interest by this weekend, I may have to check it out. I'm just getting that "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" feeling.

'95 is a split year. The early ones are basically a '94, the later ones (most of the '95s) are pretty much like a '96. All of them that I have seen are kinda mixed up, some late parts, some early, mostly in small detail parts.

I say be there at 7AM Sat. I was the first to look at my 80 after it being for sale for a week. Thanks to BrotherRob the night before at the CSC meeting saying I cant believe no one had bought that nice looking white locked 80 yet. The next morning I bought it.

Not necessarily, on man's junk..........
80s don't exactly appeal to a broad market and Tucson people are a little off.:p

the last time I looked at one in Tucson, the seller was doing his best to avoid selling it.
