Did they have the elastic? My wife has a production of over 100 but can't find the elastic anywhere.

Got any old bungee chords you could cut up?

1906 deaths recorded yesterday in the US....That is more than 2X the highest previous day value in Italy. Almost like we have entered a new higher phase.

Izzy, Doing three separate control charts with less than 20 points for each to set your control limits, statistically you would expect to see points that exceed the upper control limit.

I think including all points you've plotted into one control chart, calculating the average and standard deviation of your entire data set, you'll get a more accurate plot of future days cases. Also, if you use a rolling average for the past 20 days, you can predict if the plot is still exponentially growing, or if it is flattening.

Oh SNAP!!! Izzy just got SERVED!!!!

I think.

Yeah, I rather delete the post than have to explain 3 dozen years of advanced numerical analysis. You must be right.

Anyone else having trouble keeping track of days??

I've been pretty much working 7 days a week from home since this all started and very rarely leaving the house. Yesterday I thought it was Tuesday and forgot the trash and recycling.

Its like I went to the office one day and would never leave. LMAO

Due to a lack of interest, tomorrow has been canceled!

I got you bro. It’s Today.

Its Thursday. The day before my two month furlough and filing for unemployment due to COVID-19. I bought six gallons of exterior paint and I am praying for an extended period of rain. I no like the paint on a ladder. Can’t drink effectively or safely on a ladder. Sober painting sucks.

I stopped keeping track of days when I retired. Every even I planned on going to has been cancelled or postponed. I need to get on my cruiser repairs for all three. I'm so over having little to do that I actually almost want to find a job when this is all over for something to do.

So my buddy sent me that the other day and sent me down a rabbit hole attempting to discern its validity. A couple websites have now looked into it and the truth to is circumspect at best. Here is a summary:

A once-anonymous April 5 2020 Medium.com post headlined “Covid-19 had us all fooled, but now we might have finally found its secret” circulated, but was pulled by Medium within a few days. A Canadian blogger tentatively identified its author, and that person (Andrew Gaiziunas) confirmed that he was the one who had published the post. Although the original post was framed as containing novel and medically sound information, in Gaiziunas’ own words, it was merely guesswork based on a since-revised pre-print strung together with political opinions.

The pre-print on which it was based (“[Version 5, old] COVID-19: Attacks the 1-Beta Chain of Hemoglobin and Captures the Porphyrin to Inhibit Human Heme Metabolism”) was revised in the interim to included additional detail emphasizing that the paper was “only for academic discussion,” its hypotheses had not yet been replicated or reviewed, and that no one reading it should themselves take hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine due to its potentially fatal side effects.

- Why I think it's clearly based on "bad science?" If it were all true you'd be hearing big pharma push their drugs as the panacea to all the covid commotion. Hopefully there is some truth, so we do learn about therapeutic treatments, but for the meantime a lot of info contained in that piece is based on speculative conversation along with bunk political commentary.
