You're going to take it all apart again to paint right?

Tough for some, sure, tough for most, maybe. I got absolutely no prob cutting off factory stuff. I don't even want to drive an 80 with the stock motor and won't. I think I have said plain as day what my issues are with it (3-link) so no need to say more.
I think you might still touch on the c/o's. That axle is going to swing a bit side to side in the rough, unlike you can simulate in the garage with a jack.
and here is a pic for Booger since he seems to think we are all (except for 3 people) soccer moms.

I really hate to say it because this kit is really badass and at a great price point. It's awesome to see someone step up and make it happen but I doubt you see another person buy, no matter how many said they would. :-/
Well sir you would be incorrect, as I have a tentative purchase date around the first part of July. I recently started welding school (Thank you GI Bill) and hope to have the install done by fall as I still need a front e locker and hell fire knuckles. The 80 is my daily drive and personally I cant wait to get this kit installed.
If I may, without you getting insulted and going butthurt on me again...
Your patrol CANNOT do both of these things. That is what's different about what's happening in this entire thread and the audience who denounces sales potential is probably right, but I'll be goddammnnn if it ain't cool to drive a big fat station wagon that'll traverse 36" boulders and do 90 mph with ice cold AC in ****ty cracked leather seats all day anyday with 1/4 million miles on the odometer!
I'm sure he's a bit disappointed currently, but comments from a parts slinger and a turbo fanatic on suspensions mods shouldn't necessarily discourage him either...

With 80s becoming less sacrosanct, more will follow.
@jcardona1 What is really selling this Kit is everything you have been doing to document your install. That's a huge hurdle for the vast majority to get around. Unless people followed your build from the beginning they wouldn't know that you learned to weld on this build. So it's attainable. Seeing that everything 4WU delivered was spot on without needing modifications, also greatly helps. The fact that you are posting every step of the way and talking us all thru it while getting feedback is how people who are on the fence, finally make the decision. I'm dying to see how this ultimately does for you and how it's road manners are.

Seems like a 60 series axle would make a lot of sense in this type of suspension upgrade. Correct me if I am wrong, but..
Pro
More steering options
More birf/axle options
Bigger Diff
More brake options (1st gen tundra with IFS hubs and this kit http://frontrangeoffroadfab.com/tacoma-brake-mounting-kit/)
Con
Smaller birf
No ABS (maybe pro)

One hell of a rig, looks great! About the coilovers, they're not going anywhere now. There's really nowhere else to put them unless I cut out the air bumps. And then, where do the air bumps go? I've seen various coilover installs on an 80 and they all seem to land in the place where I have them now.
Yup. Got a few colors ideas to make it really pop. If you've seen my build you'll know it won't be black
Don't see why it wouldn't work but if I'm ever going to swap axles it's going to be a hybrid 9.5" with 80 series outers. But the thought of having to redo all these brackets gives me anxiety and shivers.
Why would you do that. The 60 axle is narrower the birfs are smaller you have fewer steering options and taco brakes are smaller than 80 brakes and the housing isn't as strong.
