After an 18 hour round trip, the 40 is at the house. Damn mountains suck when your hauling 6000 lbs. (includes trailer).

The 40 runs like a top. Transfer case is flawless in execution. Body was a bit more rough than expected but very sound. Valve cover gasket is leaking. Very squeeky at the moment. Tires were not as described i.e. dead not 50-60%. There is a drag on the vehicle which I suspect are the back brakes.

So, off go the wheels and tires. Paint to the wheels. New tires (by the way, it lists the rim size as 5.5. I assume 9.50's will nut work?). Fix the brakes. New fenders. New turn signal. Rust bullet the frame. Paint the exterior and bang, a solid work horse for the farm and any back country outing.

Juke

9.5's are fine on 5.5" wheels. Congrats on the 40 :)
