Hey! New to the site and thanks for the add! Wondering what y'all are running in your differentials and transfer case. I have a 1965 Fj40 with a 72' transfer case. A local shop suggested this one. Any feedback on this oil and or concerns would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just basic/cheap 80w-90 from the local auto parts store

Any good GL-4 85-90W gear oil will do. I use sta lube just because you can get it almost anywhere.

I get a 5 gallon pail of 80-90 wt from Napa and put a hand pump cover on it. Makes gear oil changes a snap.

Yes.

No, just a regular gl5 in the differential and gl4 in transfer

Glad to hear that… I have a brand new 5 gallon pail of Amsoil GL-5 and was thinking I could not use it…no idea where it came from but it had to have cost someone $300 or more
