AA TH400 to three speed transfer for sale. This kit requires the trans to be opened up to install the custom tailshaft required for the adapter. AA did this because there are so many different tailshaft configurations for this trans. A good time to rebuild that 400. Installed once, barely used, out of wreck, tailshaft new from AA because the trans was missing.
$400 or OBO. Free shipping. I'm in Southern Cal. If you can pick up, I'll throw in a TH400 for the project and you can see one installed in 71 V8 FJ40.

i was planning on putting in a th350, why did you choose the 400? what's the difference? i believe the 350 doesn't need to be opened because a short or medium tailshaft will work. mine's a 71, too.
