I am rebuilding a 81 vette w/ a TH350 tranny. I didnt disassemble it so take it ez. I am in the process of reassembling the car and attempting to install the shift cable. Problem is, there are no brackets to attach the shift cable to at the trans. I am told that the bracket is similar in shape to a spur, the top of the spur has 2 square holes in it that a linkage rod goes through. the linkage operates the ignition lock. There is a pin on the bottom of the arm, the rowl part on a spur, that the shift cable attaches to.
The other tranny shop says its a completely different bracket.
Would like to know before buying a bunch of brackets I dont need.

Thx
