Just replaced my 7 year old PIAA extreme white 9006 low beams witch I thought were great, with 9011 third gen Philips and I can say I noticed a brighter difference. I don't have good comparison photo to prove it but I will not go back to the PIAAs and when the 9005s in the high beams go out I will replace them with 9011. Just thought I would share this for folks that my be on the fence between "hot" 9006 and the 9011.

9011s are brighter than any 9005 / 9006 bulb. Replace both high and lows with the for aa good cheap upgrade.

IIRC the original KOITO low beam bulbs (90981-13047) have an opaque coating or cap on the tip of the bulb which decreases glare (light coming straight out the tip of the bulb). The original KOITO high beam bulbs (90981-13046) do not have that cap or coating.

So I'm wondering, when installing a 9011 bulb without that cap or opaque coating on the tip into an original headlight assembly low beam position, will they be producing more glare aimed at oncoming traffic??
