Hi Guys i just want to run these temp readings past you.

I tested the block just after i stopped driving, next to the block drain plug i got a reading of 91°c/
top rad hose was 70° /bottom was 58°.

Once it sat for a while at idle i got a reading of 80° at the block/ 60° at the top hose and/ 36° at bottom hose.

Do these readings seem correct?

Isn't the top hose the outward side of the radiator? It's should be a lower reading than the bottom. Can't help with the actual temps although I'm interested to know as well.

Bloody hope not haha. flow of water comes out of the engine into the top of the rad down the rad out the bottom hose, Unless you live in the northern hemisphere

What is your measure tool? Ir?
Surface temps would be distracting me, but it does not seem like numbers you should worry about.
Are you sure you have the thermostat in there?

Yeah i replaced the thermostat along with a host of other things along the way, Yeah i was using the Ir temp gun. From my research those temps seem about right but i was not 100% sure.

I guess the surface temp on the rubber is not that acurate, but none the less shows your radiator is working
