Temp gauge is goofy when I hit the gas?

    Very odd, on my 96 when I hit the gas the temp gauge flutters all the way up for a second or two then goes back to the half way point and stays there. Does this even when it's cool so I know it's not running hot. Anybody ever see this before?

    Check the 1 wire sensor above the oil filter (1st sensor to the left) it might be loose

    yup, sounds like block motion due to torque reaction might be involved together with a bad connection.
    Should be easy to find.
