Temp&Fuel gauge question

Very intermitant problem. My fuel and temp gauge spike to max. Temp goes to hot and fuel goes to full and both gauges raise up and down at the same time. If I pull over and turn the truck off for 1 min or less then drive it's fine. Possible ground problem behind gauge?? Truck drives good otherwise. Anyone else have or herd of this problem.

Mine had the same thing happen once on the drive home. Anyone know what's happening?

I would check the ground and all other cables to and from the battery and if all is good then %99 of the time its the alternator dying.
Very common symptoms.
