I heard about the legal action going on to save the Holy Land. Sad it had to come to that but so be it. Just wondering where the people in Murphy are in all this. Has anybody heard if the Mayor and city council have gotten on board to fight the permanant closing? Seems that they along with the county officials would be up in arms. I know everytime we have gone we have droped a load of cash : gas, food, camping or cabin rental, parts, not to mention trail fee's. We also dropped cash going over to do white water trips. Where is the better business bereau? The economy has taken a hit everywhere, I know Murphy has to be getting nailed. Was just wondering if they had thier elected officials working thier end or if we need to start writing letters to them.

Lawsuit has been filed at Tellico to stop the trail obliteration, and a NOI has been filed so suit can be filed to reopen the trails - there is hope.

Cullowhee was swept under the rug - not enough people looking out for it.

It is pretty sad, Ive spent my entire adult life sacraficing to protect the rights and freedoms that we all treasure, as a soldier, a police officer, and as an advisor in Iraq. And the thanks I get is to get uncle sam's foot broken off in my @#$ as they take away access to the land I thought we were protecting. Hooah mother @#$#@#
