I seem to have problems with my timing, I'm running chevy tbi on my stock straight six. I was wondering where people are setting their timing at? The toyota shop manual says to set it at 7 btdc, and chevy shop manual says to set it between 15-25 btdc, and DUI, says to set it at 12 btdc.:hmm: What should be a good number to start with? it seems to be searching when it idles, but when driving it funs great. Ant suggestions?

The base timing on your dizzy needs to match the base timing your ECM is using. The computer has no way of knowing where your dizzy is set, so they have to match.

I believe most ECM's are 0* with a few set at 8* for their base "Initial Advance". The famous "2f_tbi.bin" file is set at 0*
