My dome light has been out for about 4 months. Well, I live out in the country and now it is very dark when I leave for work. I've read some glowing reviews of George's LED replacement "bulb" for the domelight and while not cheap, I thought I would give it a try.

This thing is awesome. I can actually see / find things when it's dark! Not sure it qualifies as a "project" since it cost less than $100, I didn't get dirty / greasy, and I didn't bash my knuckles once.

Anyhow, highly recommended. I bought a second one for the rear light. Hard to imagine what it will be like to not have to pull out the flashlight to see inside at night.

IIRC i believe it was like $80 for both the map light and the dome light shipped. Excellent product!!

I didnt know you could get 60/62 lights from george, but it appears you can unless it just happened to fit but be made for the 80/100. x 1,000,000 the task LED light is the best cheap mod you can do. It takes a little getting used to at first because it is so much brighter.

I just ordered some for my rig... Im so sick of dim lights. I bet these things use 1/10 the power and are about 10x brighter.

Just got the LED's installed! Sweet. I did the back light with the drill the hole in the sides method. Very easy!

Do you order the Dome light module for the cargo area light as well?

Yes ...both are the same you have to modify the rear light slightly...
