Thanks for the pics, awesome looking 40!We are getting closer. I mounted one 35x10 up on my spare wheel. Waiting on my spare 35” tires i ordered to show up to the local tire shop then i will get my 33’s swapped over for the 35’s.
Likely going to need some lift shackles bumpstop adjustments, and maybe some spacers on the front, or just bite the bullet and do saginaw. I was really hoping i could throw my factory FJ40 PS box on this truck to keep it looking OG.
The tires measure 34.125” mounted.
Sorry for the sideways photos, ive about had it with this GD website and rotating my photos when uploading from phone.

Really a nice stance, and great looking 40, man!Got the 35x10x15 kanati mud hogs mounted up on Saturday. Drove the 40 in to the shop to work on my car trailer today. Some more stats:
Fj40 15” welded steel wheels with 33x10.5 Dick Cepek mud terrains: just over 70 lbs.

Same fj40 wheels with the kanati mud hog 35x10: just under 80lbs.

Installed photos. I now realize these are kind of poor with the truck being in the shade of a tree. One note, and it may just be because these tires are brand new, but they are super quiet. No howl or hum can be heard at all over the noise of the air moving past the open cab.

Truck is sitting SOR lift springs with what looks like factory length shackles.
Just a hair over 34"Mounted height?
Looks fantastic, I wish I could get that size in the G003 here in Aus, best I "might" be able to get is a Nitto in the same size, or I might get stuck with 295/70R17's.285/75r17 Yokohama G003 on FJ Cruiser/4 runner 17x17.5 rims and Spidertrax spacers.
I upsized from 255/85r16's G003
Yeah that sucks. I really like this size. Big enough but still looks like a skinny. The 255s looks a little too small on my 74, especially with the soft top.Looks fantastic, I wish I could get that size in the G003 here in Aus, best I "might" be able to get is a Nitto in the same size, or I might get stuck with 295/70R17's.
Great looking 70 series!Bad comparison pic.
non level ground, different wear, unmounted vs mounted.
285/75r17 G003 vs 255/85r16 G003 vs 235/85r16 BFG.
I'll have to thank @wngrog for the Yokohama love. This is my second set, got the 255s 3 years ago and found the 285/75r17 size because of his 80.
