Tail light problem

The tail light on the right side of my 2010 LC has partially failed. Not that easy to see in the picture but its the lower/outer quarter of the light that's no longer on.
Did anybody have a similar issue, has this been repairable without swapping the entire light assembly?
The left hand side is fine, see picture for comparison.

I do remember seeing posts about this in the past, but no good solution short of replacing the whole thing.
