Two questions

What model and part number pyrometer setup would work with the 24V 3B??

What model and part mumber tachometer would be suitable?

I have searched the internet (no luck) and our search engine seems to be down
TIA

Isspro have 24v models. Check egauges.com for comparisons.

yep, bought my dad an isspro pyro for his ford a couple years back, only requires power for the light bulb, so it would work on any voltage truck. ( provided you supply the appropriate bulb.)

Thanks all

Sea potato; can't find the 24V model but the bulb could be changed!! I guess thanks.

Otterav; thanks I saw the TINY TACH in one of your posts but could not find it. Now have the link

Cheers

Isspro is a heavy duty OEM truck supplier, they have 24v stuff though you may have to special order it from the local parts place. I was pretty sure the pyro needs power just to make the gauge work (it's been a few years since I hooked mine up). The turbo is mechanical and just needs a simple bulb change.

For the pyro i use a autometer. lighting in the gauge are 12V doh.

Post #15, i use a tiny tack, only down side it does not have any light, so at night you cannot read it. I took this model because i didn't have anymore space on the dash.

i've seen lately a digital cluser here on the site with multiple read out, pyro, boost, not rpm tho

Thanks all

Hello,
I have the latest version of the TinyTach, it has a nice soft green internal backlight for night use, a couple of timers for maintenance tracking and a maximum RPM memory hold, a nice little unit that is of a great quality and ease of install. The transducer mounts nicely onto the #4 injector line and works flawlessly.

I was checking there site today, thats the one to get!! I also noticed it will operate from a 9 volt bat or any source from 9 to 40 volts.
Going to contact their Canadian distributor tommorrow to check prices??
Otterav, was your unit around $65??

Thanks for the help all

isspro pyro

I installed an Isspro pyro in my 24v 82 bj 42 . They provided a resistor to wire it in and it works well . Also have isspro oil pressure and water temp guages. These have 24 v bulbs. I bought them directly from Isspro and they were great in providing advice too. Tim

Hello cruiser user, right now I have a 12v isspro pyro with me and my cruiser is a 24v system. I was wondering if you have a description of the resistor they gave you. I would like to get one like it for mine. If you would have a pic of it would help too.

Gustavo, have you tried to e-mail Isspro for the resistor color code/printed ohm rating and wattage rating? I'm sure you could find the right one in Tegus.

I have not yet emailed them. I will do that. Thanks for the idea!

well, I got the isspro pyro off of ebay, so I don't know the age of it, seemed new tho.

but it requires no power.

I know this, because it's been 3 years since we put it in, and I still haven't got around to running power to it for the light...

kinda like driving a 40, wait for the streetlights to check the guages...

hook up probe to guage, and that's all that was required.

never got around to a tach, tho autometer sold one, that had a probe on the alternator, and didn't matter the voltage of the alt.

did need 12v for the head unit tho.

cheers,
ryan

Well I called ISSPRO and they told me they have to provide the resistor themselves as well as the lighting bulbs, so I went ahead and ordered what they told me I need I will post later what makes the diff bet a 12v gauge and a 24v one.

regards
