easy, just a few screws to remove the cluster, and then just unclip the wiring and disconnect the speedo cable. It can be tight trying to reach some connectors but its not bad. tilt the steering wheel as far down ot of the way as well.

Does that tach need anything to keep it in place? Or does it just fit tight enough?

I used the two factory screws from the original tach, some metal strap and some electrical tape. I secured the metal strap to the back of the new tach. Since the original tach srews are about 180 degrees opposite each other, I used them to secure the new tach in place via the metal strap. Its fit nice and tight to the back of the gauge panel. I just used electrical tape to seal the tach to the back of the panel and provide a little added vibration support.

I hope this helps. no pics of the install unfortunately (no camera at the time). if i ever get around to pulling it out again. I'll snap a few.

very creative, nice website you made to. I am not shure If I can pull the same off if my conversion ever happans. I might just have to go with a autometer tach in the dash. I would like to get one of those a-pillar pods, there is a group buy going on in the 60 section I believe. Would be nice spot of oil press, boost and pyro.

well, somewhere on this board, there were a few pics of someone who put this guage into the stock hole on a 60, so there was no extra clutter or anything ..

ISPRO - w/rubber o-ring will fit into the stock location, it just won't be set back in at the same surface level. The tach runs off sensors epoxied onto the flywheel. I'm still tachless myself - I use Wayne's tach - engine noise level.
