Just changed some bulbs in the bj42 now the tack is going crazy with any throttle. I hate electrical worries. Any ideas would be help before I start taking stuff apart.

I changed a few of the turn signals and brake bulbs. The tach worked funny ever since I have had the cruiser,sometimes it would not work at all,and then it would work . Probably a lose wire that I have to track.
I believe the sensor for the tach is located somewhere on the bellhousing. It's possible that the sensor is bad, the wire broke or could be corroded.
My tach would go crazy when I used the cigg lighter socket. I had the wrong voltage regulator. I changed it and all works well now. Good luck.
