Anyone recognize this lil switch?
It came from the dash of my 72 fj40.
Don’t think it’s original.
I’m looking for another one…

Cool looking switch, not stock & have not seen one similar. Appears to be just a normal on/off switch. Could have powered about anything.

Looks like the interior light switch. Looks exactly the same as the ones in my current 1970 and 2 previous 1971’s.

100% Toyota… it’s the interior Darth Vader light switch

Also was used as a dome light switch prior to 74 when the switch was on the light. Earlier ones used a screw that tightened on a bare wire that went thru a hole in post and not bullet connector.

Looks like the Vader switch. You removed it from the passenger side from between the glovebox and door?

Here is my original 10/69 70 model. Can see the knob for that switch that controls the dome light in the B pillar.

@Living in the Past ,

Wow, you can see the teeth marks where those dang metal rats ate into your dash. They're as bad as the rust weevils. Have to put out some old crappy parts to bait 'em 'fore they do any more damage !

This all happened before I bought the cruiser. PO lived in an old part of Phoenix which I'm guessing had a big problem. We have a small population of feral cats to prevent problem where we live. Rust weevils don't do well in desert climates. The PO did the best he could at covering the damage which was wide spread.

A little unrelated but a little relevant

What did they call the vader light before 1977
