If they are larger and square I would use a die air grinder with a micro cut off wheel to get the hole just right.
I made a ss plate and used the blank spot above the ashtray. Just had to remove the blank covers to get a flush mount.

My switches are carling switches and they are a bit larger in cap size than most switches and don't fit in the standard holes. I'll have more pics off the switches I have later on tonight when I can pick them up.

Ive seen people put tem on the front slanted portion of the center console. They look really good there. Can't wait to see what you come up with, I like switches haha.

Whats up with the parking light switch all by its self? you could use that for another purpose...
I don't have a Landcruiser centre console but the console I have I've already filled those spots.

I have a plate where the ashtray used to be, it has a couple of extra switches and the knob to control the rear wiper intermittent cycle time...
