Hey guys, Off topic for 80s, but had to share :p:

My Pop and I went to Alaska for a week to see what they got... They got some stuff up there. We passed this truck on the highway outside of Anchorage one morning, about broke our necks whipping them around to check it out. By happenstance, we spotted them stopped on another highway south of Anchorage on our way to Seward that afternoon.

They were a Swiss couple who had come to explore North America for about a year, and had set the truck up to live in and properly see the land. I think the pictures speak for themselves as to if they did it right... They were very friendly, let us check it out, offered us a glass of box wine, and my dad (who lives in Vegas) offered them a hot shower when they got down there.
Will post multiple posts due to pic limitations.

Bad ass rig. Thanks for sharing.

heh....capri pants.

Yup...a truck that I can't put 39" wheels on. USELESS!

Nah, seriously tho...cool seeing a whatever series it is from another country here in USAland....

It's very cool and all, but I wonder if this might be better located in Chit Chat, especially considering it's not even an 80.

For being a super power nation, we sure do get hosed on vehicle choices:rolleyes:.

I was completely unaware you could put 39" wheels on anything besides a tractor! :hillbilly::flipoff2:

The Germans refer to these types of vehicles as "fry carts" (as in a mobile hot dog stand), which are experienced as nearly standing still in the unrestricted highway speed zones as they putter towards some vacation destination.

In the US, of course, we drool :flipoff2:

I could handle that. Or maybe I couldn't....
