Nice job. Something like this is all I need for my rig. I had a Dissent rear on my previous 100, and while I loved the bumper, I'm not interested in paying another $2,500-$3k for another one.

Too bad there is no commercially available kit for this. Though Trail Tailor might have one in the works, but that hasn't panned out.

Finally had time to wire up my license plate light.

This is “finished” for now.

Until I build a shelf over the tire.

I finally started working on my iteration. Do you have this metal piece on top of the frame that the bumper rests on? Without it my bumper wobbles when I put it back.
The European tow bars are attached in a completely different manner.

Added a quick, cheap, light shelf solution. Thanks @TeCKis300 for the inspiration

Harbor freight receiver carrier. On another receiver tube so I can use it when I want it.

Total cost less than $100 and less than an hour of my time.

I might cut it down on the driver side, I don’t need the full length of it. And I have to bend under it to open the swing out.

Cut the basket down by 16” on the driver side. Gives me 36” inside. Also braced it a little with the left over pieces.

Maybe saved 2lbs, but made it more solid by welding it up.

Also I hate welding thin chit with paint on it. I left my wire wheel at home.

Also a side pic to see the hatch clearance.

I’d like to add another home made swing out here. Truck is a 2006 LX. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking but feel free to ask any questions.
