swimming pool light help

i've got a pentair amerlite that i cant get to seal right. bought new gasket, read tips and tricks online, all to no avail. seems sealed for a day or two, then it slowly floods and blows the breaker.

anyone have either a fool-proof way to seal these things up tight, or a recommendation on a different light manufacturer who has a better design?

cool, thanks. apparently this is a common problem as the design of the light is archaic. i hope someone has a better solution or a trick so i dont have to buy a whole new system.

I cant get mine to seal either. I think the new Chinese seals are no good. I never had trouble before this year. I have resealed 3 times, holds 2 or 3 days then fails. MIke

It has been my experience more times then not once the socket has seen water the GFCI will not hold even if it does not leak.
