ummm... 80 series content: use it to turn your winch on your 80 series on/off.

EDIT: no affiliation, just thought they looked cool

not too bad.

You can buy the switches and plates much cheaper from wayekwire.com, but not with those fancy graphics...

might have to pick up a few, thanks for the link.

Those are very cool. Very. Makes me want to fabricate a fake panel and put some of these switches on it with labels like "Ejection seat", "left lane blocker eliminator", and "perimeter security armed". When I was a kid, I sat in an E type Jag at a dealership and could not take my eyes off that perfect straight and impossibly long line of switches in the upper dash. Ever since then, I've had a thing for switches. My 93 has switches for everything: Rear fog, Front fog, rear flood, front drive beam, Hella map light, etc..

Thanks for the link.

Great find.... Will they fit in the rectangular slots on the 80?

When I was in college I had a 1969 XKE Roadster. Of course it had the black rocker switches on the dash. A couple of extras actually.

To avoid getting busted for having an "open bottle" in the vehicle (this was 1972) I rigged up an auxiliary windshield washer reservoir and pump, then ran a clear plastic line up under the dash near the steering wheel. I connected the wiring to one of those lovely rocker switches.

This way I could mix a solution of Tanguray and Tonic and put it in the reservoir under the bonnet. All I needed then was a couple of plastic cups and a small cooler of ice.

Never got busted!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, love my cruiser! (cruiser content).

Sweet Ben. Nice find.

Waytek sells the "blanks" also...

Those look like the same switches as ARB sells with their lockers. You can get perfect 'blanks' for them on their site (waytek.com)...like $7 for 6 or something like that. I have some extras if anyone needs...just PM me, I'll send'em off.

When I was looking at waytek, the switches themselves were ~$4-5 and the switch actuators were ~$1. $10 for the whole thing is not a bad deal for someone like me who can not come up with a decal and icons that looks as good as those. :)

Actuators are sold in packs of eight. They are much less than a dollar each...

Still, these are not a bad deal.

I had to get the word out to my buddies in the 80s forum, 'cuz they don't check "outfitting" very much unless they are looking for opinions on leahterique orhow to detail their chromed alloys :D
Then I didn't want to leave the rest of you guys out on my find.

meanwhile, back in the original thread...

They aren't bad switches, but they're not as nice as Contura rocker switches made by Blue Sea, or the equivalent part made by Cole Hersee. Decent, but not great. Also, they're incandescent bulbs in there, not LEDs. There's some light that spills out of the top (all switches) and bottom (dual throw) when you flip the switch. It doesn't bother me anymore, but if I were to do it again, I'd probably go for Contura rockers and sort out my own labels somehow.

They sure look sexy in my 60, though. :D
