Morning all, installed a mini-truck steering set up several years ago and as things fall apart, I'm leaning toward swapping out the old mini truck set up for an fj80 gearbox. Been doing a lot of research on this and think this is the best set up versus saginaw. A couple questions for anyone who has done this:

1) will any fj80 gearbox do?
2) Rock auto has some, as do other purveyors, is there a particular brand to stay away from?
3) how about a part number? seems like A1-Cardone has some but unclear which part number is best
4) regarding the pitman arm; obviously so many options, is there a specific size or drop to look for?

I know there will be more questions, but this will at least help me get started. appreciate all the help!

go for the stock FJ80 pitman arm, and call Iron Pig and buy their custom drag link, column parts and steering box mounting plate. Get your box from wherever. All FJ80 boxes will be the same.
