Basically, I'm trying to convince my dad to let me take the supercharger from his '97 80 and put it in my '96 80.

I'm wondering if there are any problems that will arise if I just dismantle the super from one 80 and drop it into another. Also, how difficult would this be with both engines still in the cruisers? It doesn't seem like it should be an issue but I'm still a pretty novice mechanic. And yes, I'm aware about premium fuel, making sure coolant system is in top shape, etc.

Thanks for any advice!

Park them side by side, open the hoods and start trading parts back and forth. It should take a skilled amateur mechanic somewhere between 10 and 20 hours.

That's what I figured. Thanks!

The hardest part of it is the crank pulley. The rest is just swapping parts. BUT...if the SC has close to 100k on it then I'd recommend having it rebuilt. Send to Jon Bond Performance.
Or PSE in Oklahoma. That's where I had mine done
