Hi all,

Quick question about my front and rear leafs on my 1977 FJ40. I'm trying to determine if it has any sort of lift (the person I bought it from did not know). It looks like it might have about 2", but I have no way to tell for sure so I figured I'd start with trying to figure out if I have stock leafs. The shackles are definitely stock. I just seem to have a lot of fender and wheel well clearance compared to most of the stock 40's I see posted on the web. So my question is how many leafs are in the stock springs. Mine have 7.

my 79 had 7 in the front and six in the back.
If your cruiser sits level it probably has been changed or possibly an add a leaf in the back.

My '74 has 7 on both ends but my '69 has 7 front and 6 rear. ???

Thanks for checking on those leafs all of you. I'll just have to assume that mine are stock and they're not as beat up and sagging as I expected. This is good.
