Hi all,

Looking for some help regarding suspension bushings on my 67 FJ40. I had it on a lift and saw that the bushings are shot. The leaf springs are an Old Man Emu 2" lift kit that was installed about 10 years ago.

Here is a video Video Clip of the movement.

I have looked on line and and see there are OME bushing kits, but I am not sure of what part number I should be looking for. Also, are there better bushings I should be considering. Is the a mud vendor for OME I should be reaching out to?

Finally, what would cause the bushings to fail - this is a low milage truck.

were new spring pins and shackles installed with the lift?

@byron thanks for the link to the kit.

I didn't install this kit, but it it normal to have the bushing in the frame? The lateral movement looks like a lot, will new bushings resolve this?

You have an old school shackle reversal, hence the bushing in the frame.

New bushings definitely. I would check everything else while you're in there. Spring pins, u-bolts, clamps. I don't recall if OME has friction pads between the leaves or not.

Kurt, Cruiserteq shirts ? Send some for Rubithon please. To Ross not me.

I think Jason/Bryce packed up a Rubithon box with gift certs for the raffle and stickers/shirts for giveaways.
