The pictures of the trucks are nice but that picture of the Rio de las Vacas was great. I will be returning there with my fly rod in about 4 months after the snow is gone and the flows decrease.

For everyone on the run today, I finally found what I was looking for at the ranger station. Both the La Cueva picnic/fishing area and the Battleship area were closed for the winter. I saw all of you buzz by about 5 minutes before we left but it didn't look like any of you saw me.

I'm still jazzed about my first extraction experience. I've never been stuck (where I couldn't get unstuck by myself) nor helped anyone get unstuck. It was very satisfying to successfully help Matt and James get out of their predicaments without getting myself in the same.

Yeah, snow runs are really awesome for practicing recovery techniques that we otherwise rarely get to use around here. That's one of the main draws for me. Good clean fun, too.

Here are some more pictures

Nice pics guys - thanks for sharing. It was a beautiful day to get out and play in the snow.

Yes - very nice pics. I wish I could have been there. Instead, I had to go skiing at Squaw Valley...
