    It's that time again.

Last year some got close and some got pissed.

This year there's a prize. (No you're not going to get rich)

If you can correctly guess which two teams will appear in the upcomming season's Super Bowl AND correctly guess the winning team I will renew/buy your MUD silver star. In the event more than one person guesses correctly the $20 star fee will be divided among the winners. One guess only per person. All entries must be submitted before opening day of the regular NFL season.

    Good Luck!

I predict Dallas will become a media circus as TO drags the whole team into his soap opera. Micheal Irvin and Dieon Sanders will spend the entire season defending him. Big Tuna will crack by game 3 and say something in the media that will explode.

    They will finish under .500

Lions and the Packers will battle it out for dead last in their division. Brett Farve will go out a loser and reviled by the fans for staying.

Bears will win the division with a sub .500 record

Ohio State will win the National championship, but half the team will be arrested upon return to Columbus.

Michigan will lose in the Alamo Bowl with a 8-4 final record. Carr will keep his job again, leading to yet another year of top ten recruiting but poor finishes.

Looks like the NFC will win a Super Bowl this year for the first time in a while. By process of elimination, I have determined that that team will be the Seattle Seahawks.

There are quite a few good teams in the NFC East and South. Too many in fact. They will all beat the crap out of each other during the regular season while Seattle enjoys a relatively easy schedule. And for the record, forget about Dallas. While it is probably true that TO will destroy them as he has both teams he has previously played for, he is a non factor. You do not need an all star receiver to win a championship. You do however, need an O line, and Dallas has none. Bledsoe without an O line? LOL

On the other side, I cannot really even predict who will be there for the AFC. Pitt lost too much talent, including their leader on both offense and defense. Plus it's damn hard to get back to the SB a second straight year. Indy? I don't even think they will make the playoffs this year. I don't know how they are going to recover from last year. The last few seasons, they have considered themselves legit contenders, if not the best team in the AFC. Each of those seasons have ended in big time disapointment though. But, they have been able to excuse themselves by blaming the weather, the officials, etc. They cannot say that this time though. They had the domefield advantage. The huge mistake by the refs went in their favor in the AFC Champ game. Crap, they even had a good defense. But they could not get 'er done. They could not even get to the big game. Their is one man responsible for their failures, and that man's name is Peyton Manning. He's still there, so they are still going nowhere. Jax wins the division.

    Who else is there?

NE? Questions on offense, and the defense looks bad.
Cinn? Questions on offense (Palmer) and the defense looks bad.
Denver? Plummer stinks and their overrated defense is a year older.

Whoever does get there from the AFC will not be good enough.

rematch of this weekend's preseason game Carolina VS Jacksonville with Jacksonville squeaking out a defensive battle in one of the lowest scoring super bowls in history I'll say 7 to 3

It will take a lot to hold Carolina to a score that low. They have a lot of weapons on offense.
