Sunroof question (1 Viewer)

I have a question that possibly has been covered before. I noticed that when closing the sunroof (on slide mode) when pushing the button to close it, it slides consistently until about 3/4 the way and then it stops and I need to push the button again until it closes completely.
Is this an undocumented FJZ80 feature or do I have a unique problem?

This is normal. My daughters 99 4 Runner does the same thing. It's a Toyota Feature

I always figured it's to make sure you really want to close it all the way (in case anyone is in there...).

I've never operated a sunroof that didn't have this feature. It's a safety feature to keep you from chopping stuff off.
