What is everyone doing to disconnect the license plate wires from the ambulance doors when the top comes off? My previous was a ‘74 so never dealt with this...

Mine has these push together connectors, yours probably did to originally.

The doors on my 79 have never been taken off. This is how they came from the factory in 79. Same bullet connectors as @fjc-man above.

Thanks! That solves it. I’ll just have to remove the covering and see what’s underneath whenever I remove the top. Appreciate the help!

Lots of driving! New discovery that around 60 mph I get a little bit of front end shimmy. Tire pressures check good, wondering if an alignment will do the trick. Wheel weights are still connected so it probably isn’t the cause.

Oh...and North Texas is too damn windy.

Hard to get in trouble with something slow! I like to keep it simple outside of work.

Oof, that 's a tough decision. Are you PCS'ing? The military move system can be un-friendly to storing a 42yo vehicle. When we PCS'd overseas for 6 years, I committed to storing both my 40's on my own dime. Having great friends with big garages helps. I am now grateful that I kept them. Good luck either way with your decision.
