Sun Visor Mods (1 Viewer)

My 78 FJ40 did not come with Sun Visors and now that I have found some aftermarket replacements I discovered they will not fit because of the roll cage (hence why PO took them off)
Has anyone done any Mods to their visors to keep from hitting the roll cage?

My thoughts are either modify the current visor by trimming them and then resealing with some vinyl cement, or Fabbing a extension bracket. Really dont want to drill any holes if I dont have to.

Any thoughts???

use a clamp on sunvisor ... clamp onto the roll bar

you could also use the bar clamp and use the stock ones .... bend a new rod to attach between them

I use the stock sun visors with my rollcage. I welded small angle brackets to the rollcage upper hoop and mounted my visors there. Much better than going without. But, your rollcage may not allow that.
