OK I dont know if its sun roof or moon roof?

The tilt up works .
The slid open dont. It drops down and trys to open on one side.

Question is there 2 motors per side?
Fuse ?
Any one know a way to get to the working parts with out droping the headliner?

Its a single motor with a cable mechanism. Its pretty easy to pull the glass and get a look from the top. However, any major service requires pulling the headliner.

If your tilt is working, then it's possible you have a bad switch :meh:

On my 91FJ, the switch went bad and it would only open, not close

Rather than replace the switch (like I should have), I just used a jumper wire whenever I wanted to close it

Then one day someone at my shop drove it, opened the moonroof and couldn't get it closed

They put plastic over it and the pocket filled with water from a rainstorn, then popped and filled the interior :bang:

How do you pull the glass? I guess I will tilt it up and pull on it.

I dont think its the switch as it trys to open and stops.

Fixed it pulled down the head liner removed the sun roof and found one of the captive? studs that holds the roof rack bust off and stuck in the sun roofs track.
It was a good time to wash the headliner off too.

All good now.
