Can anyone in the group give me some tire recommendations asap for this rig (i ask the group as you have similar off road terrain (ill be doing mountain and beach). I have a new set of the Toyota 16 OEM rims. I have a 2" lift with OME suspension. I was trying to take my time researching but the cords have started to break on these old 15" tires. I'm trying to hit the 32" mark. 33s will be too much as I will have lots of highway time to my destinations and don't want to regear. Was looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T SUV in 265/75R1632X10.50R16. I want to get the taller skinnier look and function but not go up to 33". All thoughts and recommendations greatly appreciated. Even if you think my tire size should be different. Thanks in advance for your time and hope to see folks at the Sept meeting. I was hoping to wait until then and look at people's rigs at the meeting but now I can't wait.

Check out bfg krawler reds. They're real good tires.

I have the BFG KO2s on my Suburbans and they ride nice and look great. Mine are 265/75/16s as well. Costco sells BFG at good prices with lifetime balancing.

I will say though, with a 2 inch lift, 33s would look perfect. Look for a 255/85/16 tire if you want tall and skinny.

3rd for 255/85/16. It’s the best compromise IMO for what you’ll be doing. I’ve had good experiences with the KO2 and Ridge Grappler (a hybrid AT/MT, not much louder than my KO2s and they were dead quiet).

Thanks all. Ended up going with the BFG AT K02s. 265/75R16. They look good on my new Toyota OEM 16" wheels (# 42601-60262-03)! And yes, there is one more lug nut to go on the wheel. Toyota Parts shorted me one but it's coming tomorrow.

Those don't require a washer-ed lug nut?
I genuinely don't know anything about those wheels. They look good on the 60/62, for sure.

I think those are the OEM steel wheels for an 80 series. They take a standard cone shaped lug nut, not the shank type of the later 80 series aluminum wheel.

The picture is kinda fuzzy... can't really tell if there's a taper.

Here's a pic of the nut. It is acorn with a taper. The part number has changed to 90942-A1002 so don't look at the part number on the bag. Same part though. These rims were supposedly originally available on the HJ61 or HJ71 from my research but not in the US. Though I reserve the right to be wrong about that.
