Well, literally on the SAME day both side mirrors failed, for different reason. (1993 FZJ80)

Driver's side mirror bottom screw fell out on the road. Apparently it was the only one still in there, as the glass came out too. Does ANYONE know what the spec is for a replacement screw? All other tabs appear to be compromised.

Passenger side - the entire unit pushed in (as if you are at the car wash - against the window) once up to speed. It now pivots (the whole mirror). There is a hole for a screw. Anyone know the specs for that one too?

I am only asking as I really dont want to strip the plastic, or crack anything.

THANK YOU!!!

Both types are addressed here:

Thanks!!

they are cheap enough new at rock auto also if you want to just buy new ones and be done with it.

They are paint to match only

Can I just run them black?
No.

You MUST paint them!

Otherwise, your children will fail in school, your wife will get fat and it will rain on every parade you go to!!!!!

Do what you want.... it's your truck!

I have one on the passenger side, been on there for over 3 years. Bought it off Amazon. It has a little bit of a vibration but not nearly what my stock driver side has. No idea the brand as the amazon link doesn’t work anymore.

Sure. I just saw that they were paint to match in the description

You’re
Thanks. SOR has them for $125 and I was offered a “good” oem mirror from Mud classifieds for $132 plus postage so those prices you posted with @chap79 testimony has me interest.
I think the one I ordered was a Depo like Noah’s. Looking at my itemized spreadsheet (that I need to update) it was $58.08.

Not sure if they are still available but as of a year ago mirrors were still available to buy from Toyota and the price was very reasonable considering what aftermarket and others are going for FYI
