My carb is starting to lose idle when the choke is engaged. When the engine is fully warm, the idle, with the choke no longer engaged, runs fine.
I've tried carb cleaner on all the linkage to make sure things are not getting stuck.
What is next?

I can begin to play with the idle mixture and speed, but will this affect the choke?
Another dumb question - can I do these adjustments with the air filter housing off so I can have better access to the carb or does that affect vacuum.

Obviously a carb newbie here....

There is a fast idle adjustment screw on the carb. It increases idle speed when choke is pulled out. The lowest one on the carb is idle speed and IIRC the next one up is the fast idle.
