1996 with 185k. Put on a new exhaust (magnaflow from engine and then Bosal system from the magnaflow back. New O2 sensors as well. Has a strong fuel smell at startup but otherwise runs fine. No check engine light. Is there a temp sensor that might need to be replaced?

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the charcoal canister? I believe it has a vent line from which the smell might be coming. They tend to get clogged up and the charcoal ages over the life of these rigs. Do you get any pressure when unscrewing the gas cap?

As above or!
Had the same issue, leak from manifold to Y pipe.
Open the hood, do a cold start up and play with the throttle, if leaking you should smell fuel and or feel exhaust leak.
A leak from exhaust gets picked up by intake to cabin air system and can go away as things warm up. Sometimes this is hard to find because our rad cooling fans blow air over the engine and mask an exhaust leak.

Put some seafoam down the intake and you'll find out if you have an exhaust leak
