Strange high idle issue (1 Viewer)

i just noticed a couple weeks ago that my lx has an idle issue, my truck is fine when its cold out side it will idle fine, but since its been getting warmer i noticed it will idle fine till i shut it off wait a min turn it back on and it will idle around 1000 rpm my truck is a 96 lx with 129k on it

I would say sticky throttle cable is a good place to start.

My pedal does feel weird, it feels sticky i'll wait till it happens again and pull up on the pedal or try and close the tb manually

Mine started doing the same, but it idles at 1500rpm when warm.

A week later the throttle position sensor threw a cel. New sensor is on the way. I'll let you know.

Awesome thank you, i hope its not that, rubicon trip in a month and i still dont have my skid plate :-/
