I just had front and rear TJM lockers installed on my 2002 Land Cruiser, and wanted to get some feedback from the community here before I call the shop to talk through the new issue I'm having.
I noticed it while on the freeway going uphill at about 55-60mph. When I pressed the gas pedal down and held it at about 2,500rpm for some extra power heading up the hill, the car didn't deliver the power. It just held the same speed. It wasn't a feeling of the car struggling to climb, it was more a feeling of the transmission (or diff(s)?) not catching and delivering the power, almost as if something wasn't connecting.
If we were talking bicycles, the sensation felt as if I were cruising at a certain speed and the chain was disconnected when I pedaled for more power. The weird thing is that when I floor it, it finally decides to delivered the power. It's when I hold at around 2,500rpm that it won't catch.
Very strange. This was not happening pre install of the lockers.
Any ideas?
