Strange coincidence? Undercoated yesterday and coil pack goes today... (1 Viewer)

Good morning all.

Gave the 2000 LX a yearly undercoat with the cans I had kicking around from previous years (Krown and Rust Cure). Was careful to avoid usual areas.

Woke up today and cylinder 6 is misfiring.

Will swap out the coil pack tonight.

Just coincidental or has anyone ever had this happen before?

Wondering if the undercoating is possibly causing a short someplace.

My problem solving procedure for such conundrums (YMMV):

Were you drunk? Then yes, you messed it up.

Were you buzzed? Then maybe you did maybe you didn’t. Drink more to resolve the uncertainty.

Were you sober? Then probably nothing you did was the cause.

What about tired, with lingering hangover?

Hangover = Start drinking again to make it go away, then reapply above procedure.
