Hi all

I’ve managed to acquire a 1HDT head, compete with valves etc. I’m not sure what my plan with this is, especially given that a 1HDFT is my long term goal for this 80, but it was a steal and they pretty much never come up so here we are. It has been checked and isn’t cracked.

my question is, this head might potentially live in my garage for a bit before going to the machine shop for the valve seats to be checked and surfaced (at least), so what’s the best way of storing it? Should it be open to atmosphere? In a plastic bag? Submerged in oil? Should I pull the cam and valves?

As much as it would make a cool coffee table ornament the CFO would hit the roof.

cheers

coat in oil or rust preventative, place on a bag, then place in a box. or sell it.......to me.
