Stone damage repair (1 Viewer)

The front part of the hood is full of chips from stones. There are too many to use touch up paint. Short of repainting, any ideas on how to repair/cover up.
It is the hunter green maetallic paint.

I know this doesnt help you with your repair, but 3M has come out with a new product that will prevent this from happening. It is a clear tape that is ordered to each specific car that goes on the hood and edges of the fenders and the mirrors. It protects from bugs and rocks, and will not damage the paint in any way. As far as fixing the chips go...with out repainting or touch up paint, nothin else I can think of.

You could hide it with a bug deflector or a mask (bra).

The "correct" way is to re-finish the hood.
